Some of the questions I like to ask about characters I like is why and how they became the characters as they are portrayed in the current story. Whether via interactions with other characters or because of their pasts (tragic and non-tragic), it is quite satisfying when these questions are answered in the story ( Read more... )

One of the biggest draws for me in anything I read is the characters. Without a good cast, or at least a few outstanding characters, the story gets hard to read. The best stories to me are the stories that can balance both character and plot, and have the two feed into each other for mutual development ( Read more... )
